Boresha Africa is a Kenyan manufacturer of industrial hygiene solutions producing food-grade cleaning chemicals and, increasingly, locally manufactured cleaning equipment for institutional and commercial customers across Kenya.

Founded in 2016 by the Kiburi family, the business has grown from a small chemical blending operation into an ISO-certified manufacturer serving some of Kenya’s leading food processors, hospitals, schools, hospitality businesses, and industrial companies. Today, Boresha supplies more than 160 hygiene products, helping organisations maintain food safety, workplace hygiene, and regulatory compliance while strengthening Kenya’s manufacturing sector.

Kua Ventures invested KES 15 million to accelerate Boresha Africa's transition from an importer of cleaning equipment to a fully integrated local manufacturer.

The investment provides working capital for the company's new plastics manufacturing facility, enabling local production of high-demand cleaning tools while expanding its existing chemical manufacturing business.

By producing both cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment locally, Boresha is strengthening supply chain resilience, improving production efficiency, and reducing dependence on imported products—positioning the business for long-term growth across Kenya and the wider East African region.
