They are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the company’s finance function.
Job Purpose: The Finance Manager will provide strategic and compliance leadership for the finance function, supporting investment management and advisory operations. The role will ensure financial integrity, oversee reporting, manage audits, and lead upgrades of financial systems and processes. This position supports sound decision-making, maintains investor confidence, and ensures portfolio health.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Offer strategic financial oversight by developing and implementing financial strategies to support investment advisory operations. Provide financial insights and analysis
2. Responsible for compliance and regulatory management. Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations. Lead successful audits.
3. Supervise the Finance Controller and collaborate with portfolio managers and advisory leads.
4. Manage loan servicing by monitoring and reporting on portfolio company loan servicing. Oversee loan schedules, interest calculations, repayments, and impairments.
5. Prepare quarterly investor statements and internal investment reports. Lead the calculation of quarterly Net Asset Value (NAV) for investment.
6. Lead financial system upgrades and ensure digital tools align with operational needs. Support automation of investment tracking, reporting, and audit documentation.
7. Prepare monthly internal financial reports, including: Cash flow statements, income statements, balance sheet investment summaries, and budget-to-actual variance analyses. Develop financial models to evaluate portfolio performance and investment projections
Key Qualifications & Experience:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 2. CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional certification required
3. At least 10 years of progressive financial management experience. Experience in the investment, audit, or banking industry will be an advantage
4. Proven experience managing audits, regulatory compliance, and team leadership
5. Experience with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or investment-specific platforms)
6. Strong understanding of investment fund structures and financial modelling
