We partner with faith-driven, dynamic, post-revenue businesses across diverse sectors in Kenya that drive inclusion and stability. We prioritize businesses in production, manufacturing, and value-added agriculture because they create jobs, strengthen supply chains, and serve as the backbone of resilient communities, sectors often overlooked.
Our initial investments range from $100,000–$500,000, with strong follow-on potential for portfolio companies. Funding can be provided in Kenya Shillings or US Dollars.
As a debt impact investor, we provide funding through three instruments: Straight Debt (requires collateral), Asset Financing (asset is the collateral), and Revenue-Based Financing. The maturity period is 36-72 months (3-6 years)
We typically invest around $200,000 per business. To qualify, you should have at least KES 26M in annual revenue, be operational for a minimum of 4 years (LLC or PLC only—no sole proprietorships or partnerships), and have 3 years of audited statements. Businesses must be headquartered in Kenya and led by at least two East African founders or key decision-makers committed to ethical, sustainable growth. We do not fund idea-stage or pre-revenue startups.
No. Our Kenya focus allows us to walk closely with entrepreneurs, leveraging local networks and providing hands-on support rather than distant oversight. Founders who are East African nationals may apply if the business is headquartered in Kenya.
Submit your application through our website. If your business meets our criteria, our investment team will review it and contact you. We accept applications year-round.
Alongside redemptive investing through capital, we offer coaching to help strengthen your business, improve profitability, and prepare for sustainable, long-term growth. We also provide a redemptive community through peer learning and workshops. These bring together entrepreneurs to share challenges, grow in leadership, and strengthen both their business acumen and faith walk.
Redemptive investing is about using capital to generate both financial returns and positive transformation in society. At Kua Ventures, we back entrepreneurs whose businesses create sustainable profits while uplifting employees, serving customers ethically, and strengthening communities. Guided by Christian values, we see business as a tool for restoration and long-term flourishing—delivering impact that goes beyond profit.
